SoC System Designer

As SoC System Designer at u-blox you will be part of our Positioning Product Center and work in a small multi-sites (Finland & Switzerland) team of highly motivated and talented engineers. In this role you will participate in architecture definition, system design, specification work and FPGA prototyping for GNSS mixed-signal SoCs. The role is located in Tampere. There will be occasional travel to our other sites within Europe.

Your Responsibilities
  • Requirements management on system, platform and SoC levels
  • System design & architecting
  • FPGA prototyping
  • Interfacing towards SoC development team
Your Skills and Experience

M.Sc. in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
3+ years’ experience in most of the following:
  • SoC architecture, basic mixed signal blocks, basic RF blocks
  • Systems engineering
  • Modelling of digital signal processing blocks (e.g. Matlab)
  • Knowledge and experience on high level synthesis tools and methods
  • FPGA/ASIC development, VHDL/Verilog and/or IC verification
Knowledge and experience of GNSS technology is a plus, willingness to learn a must.
Fluent in English both spoken and written.

Bonus Points
  • Embedded software development in C/C++
  • Integrated development environments (e.g. Eclipse), revision control systems (e.g. Git) and build tool chains
  • Bring-up/prototyping and debugging activities and tools
  • Experience of working in agile development environment
